The Major Pee Wee division is the cornerstone of the UMH Compete spring program.
This is the MOST IMPORTANT year of spring hockey.
Making a confident and safe transition into contact hockey is crucial for competitive players.
The UMH Compete program is designed to physically and mentally prepare your player for the next level of U15 hockey.
The U14 AAA Compete is a robust program for COMPETITIVE AAA level hockey players, who want to receive great coaching in a culture that demands effort, teamwork, and commitment.
If you want to be a hockey player, and not just play hockey, this is the program for you!

Program Details
- Contact Confidence Week: March 23-26
- Goaltender Skills Week: March 23-26
- Goaltenders receive goalie training on "skills" day
- 3 practices/week - 1 individual skills, 1 flow and compete, 1 small area games
- 2 workouts/week - certified youth trainers at the Training House
- 1 Goals & Habits Tracker - Up My Hockey introductory mindset training
- 3 tournament max
- 8 week program, March 24 - May Long weekend

Meet Your 2014 Team Coaching Staff
Head Coach – Jason Podollan
Former WHL All-star, U20 Canadian National Team gold medalist, 31st Overall Draft pick, and 10 year Professional (NHL, AHL, DEL), Jason brings a lifetime of hockey experience to the program.
Defence Coach – Garth Gartner
Former BCHL captain, NCAA Div 1, and 2 year professional (CHL), Garther has coached the U18 North Zone AA program for the last 4 seasons.
Forward Coach – Tyler Quiring
Former WHL, BCHL and 4 year professional (CHL), Tyler joined the Compete for the 2024 season. Quiring was also a hockey dad supporting his son, Steel, to make it to the WHL.
2014 Birth Year Contact Confidence Week
Unique to the UMH Compete program, players will spend an entire week (prior to games and practices) learning the art of Contact Confidence.
Five hours dedicated exclusively to contact progressions!
Learn how to use speed, weight transfer, angles, deception and edges to initiate OR avoid contact.
Small bodies and big bodies will play the game differently, but both types of players need to be confident with contact concepts.
We build progressions throughout the week to finish with a controlled scrimmage.
Goal & Habit Tracker
Head Coach, Jason Podollan, uses his experience as a Mindset Coach to provide age appropriate mental training to his UMH Compete athletes.
Exclusive to the UMH Compete program, players receive insights into goal creation, intention, habits, and self-evaluation.

U13 AAA UMH Compete
2015 Birth Year AAA Program Details
- 8 week program (March 24-May 19)
- 3 tournament max
- No practices on the weekends
- Limited exhibition games
- 3 practices per week - one individual skills focused, one flow and compete, and one games day
- Goaltenders receive goalie training on "skills" day
- 1 gym session per week with the professionals at the Training House
- Up My Hockey "Goal & Habit Tracker"

UMH U15 Development Team
- 6 week program (March 30 - May 8)
- No practices on weekends
- 3 practices per week - one individual skills focused, one team session with small area compete, and one scrimmage day (last year it was Mon/Wed/Friday)
- 3 gym sessions per week with the professionals at the Training House (one drop off, one pick -up at KTP)
- 20 skaters and 3 goalies is the maximum number of players
- 25% discount on my signature Peak Potential Mindset program

COST – $1500
Power Skating With Joel Becker
Tuesday March 31st - Tuesday May 5th
- Six 1 hour sessions dedicated to speed and acceleration. This is an amazing opportunity to learn skating technique from Joel Becker, one of the best coaches in business. This is NOT your typical "power skating" program. Joel Becker combines his experience as a hockey player and speed skater, to maximize speed and stride efficiency.

Contact Confidence Camp
March 23-26, 2026
- Learn how to give, accept and avoid contact safely and with confidence

Power Skating Breakfast Club
A 6 session program specifically designed to become a better skater. Edges and striding will be the focus of this program. If you can’t skate, you simply can’t play. Increase balance, agility, and speed in 6 weeks!
